1. The principle / Il principio

EN: PressWork Mobile is an offline-first app: what you write — projects, chapters, notes, synopses, revisions, history — lives only on your device. There is no account, no sign-up, and we never upload your texts to any server of ours. The app contains no ads, no trackers and no analytics.

IT: PressWork Mobile è un'app offline-first: quello che scrivi — progetti, capitoli, appunti, sinossi, revisioni, cronologia — vive solo sul tuo dispositivo. Non esiste un account, non c'è una registrazione, e non carichiamo i tuoi testi su nessun server nostro. L'app non contiene pubblicità, tracciatori né strumenti di analisi.

2. What data we process, and when / Quali dati trattiamo, e quando

• EN — Licence activation (only if you activate). When you enter your email to unlock the app, we send two pieces of data to our server (presswork.it): the email you typed and a random code (UUID) generated by the app on first activation. The code is not derived from your hardware and does not identify your device to third parties: it only counts your licence's activations. The server answers whether the licence is valid; the check is silently repeated from time to time. Legal basis: performance of the licence contract. Retention: for the duration of the licence. The server is hosted by cloud providers in the European Union or with equivalent safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
  IT — Attivazione della licenza (solo se la attivi). Quando inserisci l'email per sbloccare l'app, inviamo al nostro server (presswork.it) due dati: l'email che hai digitato e un codice casuale (UUID) generato dall'app alla prima attivazione. Il codice non deriva dall'hardware e non identifica il tuo dispositivo presso terzi: serve solo a contare le attivazioni della tua licenza. Il server risponde se la licenza è valida; la verifica viene ripetuta in modo silenzioso di tanto in tanto. Base giuridica: esecuzione del contratto di licenza. Conservazione: per la durata della licenza. Il server è ospitato da fornitori cloud nell'Unione Europea o con garanzie equivalenti (clausole contrattuali standard).
• EN — AI assistant (only if you configure it). The AI features (clean up dictation, proofread, summarise, ask) send the text you select to the AI service you chose and configured (an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or the link to your PressWork desktop). That text is processed by your chosen provider under its own terms: choose it with the same care you'd use choosing who to send a manuscript to. If you configure nothing, no text ever leaves the device.
  IT — Assistente AI (solo se lo configuri tu). Le funzioni AI (pulisci dettatura, correggi, riassumi, chiedi) inviano il testo che selezioni al servizio AI che tu hai scelto e configurato (un endpoint compatibile OpenAI, oppure il collegamento al tuo PressWork desktop). Quel testo è trattato dal fornitore che hai scelto secondo le sue condizioni: sceglilo con la stessa cura con cui sceglieresti a chi mandare un manoscritto. Se non configuri nulla, nessun testo lascia il dispositivo.
• EN — Dictation (only if you use it). Dictation uses your device's system speech recognition (Android's voice services, Apple's dictation on iPhone and iPad): audio is processed according to your operating system's settings and privacy policy, not by us.
  IT — Dettatura (solo se la usi). La dettatura usa il riconoscimento vocale di sistema del tuo dispositivo (i servizi vocali di Android, la dettatura Apple su iPhone e iPad): l'audio è trattato secondo le impostazioni e l'informativa del tuo sistema operativo, non da noi.
• EN — Web page clipping (only if you use it). If you share a link to PressWork and ask for «the article too», the app downloads that page directly from the site you shared, as a browser would. Nothing passes through our servers.
  IT — Ritaglio di pagine web (solo se lo usi). Se condividi un link verso PressWork e chiedi «anche l'articolo», l'app scarica quella pagina direttamente dal sito che hai condiviso, come farebbe un browser. Nessun passaggio dai nostri server.
• EN — Collaboration as a guest (only if you join). If you join a collaboration session, the session's text transits encrypted through a relay server to reach the other participants. The content is not stored: the relay forwards, nothing more.
  IT — Collaborazione come ospite (solo se partecipi). Se entri in una sessione di collaborazione, il testo della sessione transita cifrato attraverso un server di inoltro per raggiungere gli altri partecipanti. Il contenuto non viene conservato: il server inoltra e basta.
• EN — Safety copy. The safety copy writes your projects to a folder you choose (storage, SD card or your own cloud app). It goes where you decide; we never see it.
  IT — Copia di sicurezza. La copia di sicurezza scrive i tuoi progetti nella cartella che scegli tu (memoria, scheda SD o un'app cloud tua). Va dove decidi tu; noi non la vediamo.

3. What we do NOT do / Quello che NON facciamo

EN: No accounts and no profiles. No ads. No trackers or analytics. No selling or sharing of data with third parties. No reading of your texts by us: they simply never reach us.

IT: Niente account e niente profili. Niente pubblicità. Niente tracciatori o analytics. Nessuna vendita o cessione di dati a terzi. Nessuna lettura dei tuoi testi da parte nostra: non ci arrivano proprio.

4. Purchases / Acquisti

EN: The app contains no purchases: the licence is bought on presswork.it, where the website's privacy policy applies (payment is handled by Paddle as merchant of record).

IT: L'app non contiene acquisti: la licenza si compra sul sito presswork.it, dove vale l'informativa privacy del sito (il pagamento è gestito da Paddle come rivenditore).

5. Your rights (GDPR) / I tuoi diritti (GDPR)

EN: You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding your data (in practice: your licence email and its activations). Write to info@presswork.it; we answer within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

IT: Hai diritto di accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità e opposizione sui dati che ti riguardano (in pratica: l'email di licenza e le sue attivazioni). Scrivi a info@presswork.it; rispondiamo entro 30 giorni. Puoi anche proporre reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

6. Children / Minori

EN: The app is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

IT: L'app non è destinata ai minori di 14 anni e non raccoglie consapevolmente dati di minori.

7. Changes / Modifiche

EN: If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Substantial changes will be flagged in the app or on the website.

IT: Se questa informativa cambia, aggiorniamo questa pagina e la data in testa. Le modifiche sostanziali saranno segnalate nell'app o sul sito.
